Taking over the old boots unit in Stretford town centre, the Milita art exhibition will feature the artistic works of 23 talented local artists across a range of mediums including audio, visual, and performance-based art. Visitors will have the chance to hear from local artists about their craft and experience the vast scope of talent that their local community has to offer, with everything from vibrant wall paintings to showstopping projections on display.
The preview event on the 6th June will give guests the exclusive chance to enjoy an evening of interactive artwork, complete with DJ sets from Agony Massive, RenzNiro, live performances from local artists and poets, and a pop up bar. Tickets to the event are available now.
Curated by Sophia Harari, Denzel Uwumarogie Omoefe and Amy Platt, the exhibition will form part of the creative output of ‘MILITA Studios’, a Manchester based art collective which creates space for Northern artists to showcase their talent and creativity, formed by Denzel and Stretford born Francis Whittingham. The platform's latest exhibition in Stretford town centre will offer a celebration of resistance, experimentation and creative occupation, bringing a new creative and interactive studio space to the heart of the community.
Amy Platt from MILITA art collective said:

Visitors can expect a unique and immersive experience, filled with a whole host of diverse perspectives and ideas. We can’t wait to see you there!”
