Stretford’s Christmas lights switch-on is back!
Save the date! Stretford Town Centre is kicking off the festive season on Saturday 14th November with its Christmas lights switch-on and an afternoon and evening of festive fun.
Head to Sir Tony Lloyd Square from 2pm for festive stalls, including local favourites Beatties Bakery and Stretford In Bloom, plus a roasted chestnut van, warming mulled wine and plenty of seasonal food and drink to enjoy.
There'll be live music throughout the afternoon, with Stretford Uke will be bringing the singalong classics in GRUB Stretford from 4pm to 5pm. Then Stretford Brass Band take centre stage at 5.30pm to play some Christmas favourites to build up the big switch on. At 6pm, it'll be time for the big moment as the town centre's traditional Christmas tree is unveiled and the festive lights are switched on hosted by locally based presenter and broadcaster Matty White.
And the fun doesn't stop there. Over at GRUB, you can keep the celebrations going with more live music, street food and drinks, before Manchester artist and illustrator Stanley Chow takes to the decks for his first-ever GRUB set from 7pm to 10pm.
Bring your friends, wrap up warm and join us to get the festive season started in Stretford!
